THE QUESTION TO THE PHOTOGRAPHER
SERIES : NO FACE, YES STORY
In Tanzania, the camera is often met with a shield: “Unaenda kuniuza?”
(“Are you going to sell me?”). It is a defense against exploitation, a demand for dignity in a world that often steals it.
This series is my response. It is a refusal to intrude, but a commitment to witness.
By deliberately omitting the face, I force the focus onto the universal language of the body. The narrative shifts to the worn texture of working hands, the intimacy of a shared silence, and the stride of resilience. This is a study of presence without identity—proof that you do not need to see eyes to feel the story.
